Important: What Account Deletion Means
Deleting your Pawan Mate Education account is a permanent action that will deactivate your account and remove your personal data from our active systems. Once your account is deleted, you will be immediately logged out and will not be able to access any courses, progress, or content previously associated with your account.
If you are currently enrolled in or have purchased any courses, please ensure you have saved or noted any relevant progress or certificates before requesting deletion.
How to Request Account Deletion
Open the Pawan Mate Education App
Launch the Pawan Mate Education app on your Android device. Make sure you are logged in with the account you want to delete.
Navigate to Settings
From the app's main menu or navigation bar, tap your profile icon and then go to Settings. Scroll down to the Account Actions section.
Tap "Delete My Account"
In the Account Actions section, tap Delete My Account. A confirmation dialog will appear explaining the consequences of deletion.
Verify via OTP
Tap Send OTP. A 6-digit one-time password will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the code in the dialog to confirm your identity and authorize the deletion.
Tap "Confirm Delete"
After entering the OTP, tap Confirm Delete. Your account will be immediately deleted, all active sessions will be revoked, and you will be redirected to the login screen.
Alternative: Request via Email
If you are unable to access the app (e.g., you no longer have your registered phone), you can request account deletion by contacting us via email. Include your registered mobile number and full name in your request.

What Data Is Deleted & What Is Retained
Data Deleted Immediately
- Active login sessions and all JWT access tokens
- All refresh tokens (you are logged out from all devices)
- Device binding / hardware fingerprint
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification token
- Account active status (account is deactivated immediately)
Data Retained Temporarily (Up to 90 Days)
To maintain audit trails, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations, the following data may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion before being permanently purged:
- Your registered mobile number
- Your profile name and academic details (course type, university, branch, year)
- Course enrollment records and access grants
- Learning progress records (lesson completion, video watch history)
- Admin notes associated with your account
This data is not visible on any public-facing surface and is only accessible to authorised administrators during the retention window.
Financial & Legal Records (Retained per Law)
Any transaction records, payment confirmations, or financial data may be retained for the period required by applicable Indian financial and tax regulations (typically up to 7 years), after which they are securely deleted.
After Deletion
- You will be immediately logged out from all active sessions on all devices.
- Your mobile number will be deactivated and cannot be used to log in unless an administrator reactivates the account within the 90-day retention window.
- After the 90-day retention period, your personal profile data is permanently and irreversibly purged from our systems.
- You may re-register with the same mobile number after permanent purging is complete; however, no prior course enrollments, progress, or data will be restored.
